Downstairs is a well-equipped kitchen. There is a separate dining room, living room with TV and DVD, toilet/washroom and cloakroom. Upstairs is a large newly fitted bathroom, with bath and separate walk-in power shower. There is one large double bedroom and two twin bedrooms. |

Brackenthwaite Cottage has oil fired central heating and supplementary heating. In this cottage only, towels are available for hire at a small additional charge. From 2009, Brackenthwaite Cottage letting weeks will commence on Fridays. View our Gallery Pictures. |
This was the original farmhouse, dating back to the 1600’s. It has recently been fully refurbished and is the largest and most well appointed of our cottages. This cottage sleeps six people. Sorry, but no pets are allowed in this cottage.
The cottage is steeped with olde-world charm, with lots of original oak beams visible throughout. To the back there is an enclosed patio while the front opens out onto a large gravelled area where parking is available. This cottage has a rockery garden with seating and barbeque. There are beautiful views of open countryside and Lakeland hills.
