From the South:
Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 35. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A601(M) for 1 mile. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A6. Continue along the A6 through a roundabout and under a railway bridge. After going under the railway bridge take the fourth turning on the left (Nineteen Acre Lane). At the T junction turn right signposted Leighton Moss & Arnside. Pass through Yealand Storrs then bear right onto Thrang Brow Lane signposted Beetham & Arnside. Travel up a short hill and down the other side, round a sharp left hand bend at the bottom of the hill. Brackenthwaite Farm is located on the right. We have a large sign at the entrance over the courtyard archway.
From the North:
Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 36. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A65. At the next roundabout take the third exit signposted A6070 Burton-in-Kendal. Continue on the A6070 through Burton-in-Kendal. Towards the end of the village turn right up Tarn Lane crossing the motorway and canal. At the crossroads (A6) go straight across up Nineteen Acre Lane At the T junction turn right signposted Leighton Moss & Arnside. Pass through Yealand Storrs then bear right onto Thrang Brow Lane signposted Beetham & Arnside. Travel up a short hill and down the other side, round a sharp left hand bend at the bottom of the hill. Brackenthwaite Farm is located on the right. We have a large sign at the entrance over the courtyard archway.
Visitors to Keepers Cottage, please park off the road down the track to the side of the cottage. Parking for The Old Stables Cottages is through the archway in the courtyard. If you are coming to Brackenthwaite Cottage, please park at the front of the cottage on the gravelled area through the blue and red gate.
